Event manager/PA

We are an established lighting company currently seeking a local and enthusiastic Events Manager / Personal Assistant to join our team. 

The Role

The primary focus of this role is the operation and management of our new lifestyle showroom in Surrey, with the additional responsibility of assisting the company director with day to day tasks. 

The successful applicant will be expected to manage evening and weekend events and meetings where necessary. Attendance to the events will also be required on occasion. 

The role will include; 
  • Managing guest lists and invitations for events 
  • Event promotion
  • Maintaining stock levels of marketing materials and refreshments 
  • Assuring the showroom is presentable 
  • Assist with walk-in clients
  • Attend events  
  • Manage showroom bookings for our associates  

Experience in the hospitality and events industry would be ideal. 

The post demands excellent customer service skills, the ability to relate well with private clients and have a good understanding of our products and services, we will provide training. 

Salary is dependent on experience.

Junior Lighting Designer
Full Time 

We are a dynamic lighting design company, looking for a Junior Lighting Designer to join our team in East Horsley, Surrey, KT24 6RX.

Working on projects both locally and internationally, we are looking for an enthusiastic aspiring lighting designer to assist on a variety of exciting projects. 

The Role

The role involves dealing with clients, architects and designers, therefore the ideal candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, be a team player and be committed to deadlines.

The ideal candidate will have an interior design qualification or similar. 

While experience in high-end customer service and lighting design is not essential, a design background and an interest in lighting is extremely beneficial. 

Experience in AutoCAD is an advantage. 

The successful candidate will be trained up in the field of lighting design over their first 12 months, after which they will be responsible for their own clients and projects from design stage through to scene setting of the control system. 

Initial responsibilities will include; 

  • Assisting on lighting design projects 
  • Supporting Senior Designers
  • Luxury lighting sales enquiries
  • Showroom demonstrations and client greetings
  • Building up knowledge of our lighting suppliers and their products
  • Liaising with suppliers  
  • Managing social media accounts 

Once the successful candidate has gained a general knowledge of the products we use, training will progress into in a deeper understanding of the fittings, site visits, lighting plans and detailed lighting schedules. 

Salary is dependent on experience.
