We are a dynamic lighting and Lutron design company, looking for a full time Lighting Design Assistant to join our team in East Horsley, Surrey, KT24 6RX.
Working on projects both locally and internationally, we are looking for an enthusiastic aspiring lighting designer to assist on a variety of exciting projects.
The role involves dealing with clients, designers and architects, therefore the ideal candidate will need to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, work well as a team and be committed to deadlines with a particular attention to detail.
You will have a design qualification or similar, while experience in high-end customer service and lighting design is not essential, a design background and an interest in lighting is extremely beneficial.
Experience in AutoCAD and Adobe suite is an advantage.
The successful candidate will be trained up in the field of lighting design over their first 18 months, after which they will be responsible for their own clients and projects from design stage through to scene setting of the Lutron systems.
Initial responsibilities will include;
• Assisting on lighting design projects
• Supporting Senior Designers
• Provide support putting together formal issue construction drawings and technical lighting schedules
• Prepare detailed conceptual elevation drawings for client presentation
• Luxury lighting sales enquiries
• Showroom demonstrations and client greetings

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a talented and experienced Lighting Designer to the Future Light Design team in Surrey, to work on an array of extraordinary and prestigious projects both across the UK and internationally.
Following the current development of our new and exciting Surrey showroom, we are looking for a Lighting Designer to join the team to help with the increase in demand for our design services and products.
Working largely on high-end residential projects, from conception to completion, we are fortunate to work on some incredible homes with some esteemed clients.
This role will ideally suit a lighting designer with at least 2 years experience, preferably in high-end residential, with a good knowledge of AutoCAD.
The role will include meeting with clients, architects, interior designers and contractors to develop a lighting scheme which meets the needs of the project whilst keeping to deadlines. As such the candidate must be highly organised with great attention to detail and strong communicative skills.
Experience working with the Lutron control system or similar systems would be a great advantage.
