Lutron Window Treatments

We respond to daylight emotionally. In good daylight, colours look true, finishes show their texture and rooms feel lifted. It's the best light there is, so controlling it is as much a part of lighting as the fittings in the ceiling. Lutron blinds and curtains move so quietly you barely hear them, and they work from the same keypads, scenes and app as your lighting.

Daylight and lighting, together

Because blinds and lights run on one system, a single button can draw the curtains, lower the blinds and set the lights for the evening, then reverse it all in the morning.

They can also run themselves: opening in the morning, closing at dusk, and lowering when strong afternoon sun would fade art and furnishings or overheat a room.

Blinds don't have to be fully up or fully down. We set positions for each window, such as halfway to cut glare or a third down for privacy, and you can adjust any blind from the keypad.

We only fit Lutron blinds and curtains, so every one runs on the same system as your lighting.

Think about blinds at the start, not the end

Blinds and curtains are too often left until the end of a project, when the ceilings are finished and the choices have narrowed. Planned at the start of a new build or refurbishment, they can be fitted in the neatest, best-looking way the house allows.

Early planning means pockets and recesses in the ceiling so rollers, tracks and motors disappear, power where each window needs it, and fabrics agreed with the interior designer. It shapes the lighting design too, because where a blind sits and how much daylight it lets in changes where the light needs to go.

So wherever we can, we plan the window treatments alongside the lighting, with your architect, designer and builder, from the first drawings.

If the room is already decorated, it isn't too late. Battery-powered Lutron blinds need no new cables, fit straight to the window and join the rest of the system wirelessly.

Choosing the fabric

The fabric does as much work as the motor. We help you choose by what each room needs, working with your interior designer or curtain maker so the fabric suits the room as well as the job.

Protection

Technical fabrics cut UV from strong sun to protect artwork, floors and furnishings.

Privacy

For overlooked rooms: light in, without people seeing in.

Blackout

For bedrooms and cinema rooms.

Softening

Sheers that take the glare off a bright room and keep the view.
